My CrossFit story starts like many others. Clueless, intimidated and yet very curious. My first experience with anything related fitness was back in school. Thinking that just being active is sport would do but it never seem to get me to where I want. Which was being healthy looking and lose weight.
And comes the day I pick up weights, introduced by close friends to try out going to the gym and we did bodybuilding exercises. You know what I’m talking about. Bicep curls, triceps extensions, lat pull downs and etc. But again, nothing has changed except that I could pick up more weights but I still relatively looked the same. But most significantly, it didn’t last long as there was no results and it didn’t make sense to me.
Early last year, I was introduced to CrossFit. It was a video of Froning doing a workout and I was hooked. I began watching all the videos, read all the articles and learning the jargon and moves of CrossFit. But the video that gave me the “light-bulb” was Jason Khalipa talking on what CrossFit is all about. The idea of being an all-rounder, an elite was what got me sold. I’ve always find that a person who is versatile is treasure.
Needless to say, I did get a lot healthier and a lot “lighter” and the best of all, there’s always another day to be better, faster, stronger, fitter.
To me, CrossFit is an idea. A way of life. Everything I do is in someway CrossFit.
How I move, how I behave and do things, and it has become a passion to share everything I’ve gain from CrossFit to whoever that is willing.
I want to coach CrossFit one day and that one day will come.
